Overview
The Companies tab in Contacts is a directory of all company records in your account. Companies serve two purposes: they are linked to cases to identify which organization a case relates to, and they can optionally have a Client Portal account enabled — a separate environment used by clients to submit case information and upload records.
Access Contacts by clicking your initials in the top-right corner and selecting Contacts. The Companies tab is shown by default.

The Companies list shows:

E-mail — the company's primary email address.
Phone — the company's primary phone number.
Client Portal — shows Enabled if a Client Portal account has been set up for this company.
The list can be filtered by Client Portal status (All / Enabled / Not enabled) using the Client Portal dropdown above the list. Use the search bar to find companies by name.

Client Portal
A company contact can optionally have a Client Portal account enabled. The Client Portal is a separate environment from the Case Portal — it is used by clients (claimants and their representatives) to submit case information and upload records from their side. Once records are uploaded in the Client Portal, they are pushed through to the Case Portal where the expert team works on them.
Key points about the Client Portal:
The Client Portal only contains metadata and submitted records — it does not contain the processed case data or expert work from the Case Portal.
Enabling Client Portal for a company creates a Client Portal company account and requires an account owner to be selected from the people contacts linked to that company.
Once enabled, individual people contacts linked to this company can be granted Client Portal Access, which creates login accounts for them to access the company's Client Portal.
Note: To enable Client Portal for a company, contact your Case Chronology account administrator or the Case Chronology support team. Once enabled, the company shows Enabled in the Client Portal column of the Companies list.
Linking a company to a case
When creating a case, the Client field in the Create Case wizard links the case to a company from your directory. To update the linked company after case creation, open the case three-dot menu and select Case details.
Note: A case can only be linked to one client company at a time.
Editing and deleting companies
Click the three-dot menu next to a company and select Edit to update its details. To delete a company, select Delete and confirm. Companies linked to active cases or with Client Portal enabled cannot be deleted until those dependencies are resolved.
