Overview
The People tab in Contacts is a directory of all individual people in your contacts database. Each person can be linked to a company contact from your Companies list and can optionally be linked to cases in specific roles. People contacts can also be granted access to the Client Portal or Case Portal (as a Presenter). Access Contacts by clicking your initials in the top-right corner and selecting Contacts, then click the People tab.

Access Management
Each person contact can be given one or both types of portal access. These are configured in the Access Management section of the person's contact form.
Access type | What it does |
Client Portal Access | Creates a user account that allows this person to log into the Client Portal for their linked company. The Client Portal is a separate environment where clients can submit case information and upload records. Client Portal Access can only be granted if the person's linked company has Client Portal enabled. |
Presenter Access | Creates a user account that allows this person to log into the Case Portal and view assigned cases in read-only mode. This is the Presenter role described in document A2 — Managing Users & Roles. |
Note: Client Portal Access requires the person to be linked to a company contact that has Client Portal enabled. If the company does not have Client Portal enabled, the Client Portal Access toggle will not be available. See document B2 — Contacts: Managing Companies for details on enabling Client Portal for a company.
Deleting a person contact
Click the three-dot menu next to a person and select Delete. You will be asked to confirm. Deleting a contact removes their link from any associated cases. Contacts with active portal access (Client Portal or Presenter) should have their access revoked before deletion.
