C9: Searching & Filtering

The Search tab, filter panels in Files and Workspace, and search tips.

Overview

Case Chronology provides a dedicated Search tab inside each case, as well as filter panels in the Files and Workspace tabs. Together these let you find specific pages, episodes and documents quickly across large cases.

The Search tab

Open the case and click the Search tab. The search bar accepts free text and searches across all OCR-extracted page content within the case.

Filters panel in Files and Workspace tabs

A Filters panel is available on the right side of both the Files and Workspace tabs. It filters the visible pages without leaving the current view:

  • Types — filter by episode type.

  • Labels — filter by document or page label.

  • Authors — filter by episode author.

  • Tags — filter by page tag.

  • Colours — filter by page colour (click a colour swatch).

  • Have duplicate in workspace (Files tab) — show only pages that have a matched duplicate in the workspace.

  • Additional batches only (Workspace tab) — show pages from batches uploaded after the first (Optional).

  • Duplicates only (Workspace tab) — show only pages flagged as duplicates.
