Overview
The Cases list is the home screen of Case Chronology. It shows all cases in your account, organised by status across a set of tabs. A Create Case button is available in the bottom-right corner at all times.
Note:
Presenters can only see cases they have been explicitly assigned to via Share access. Admins and staff can see all cases.
Accessing the cases list
Click Cases in the top-right navigation menu, or navigate to it from the Case Chronology home screen. The list opens on the currently active status tab.

Case statuses
Each case belongs to one status at a time. The five status tabs are:
Status | Meaning |
Pending | Case created but work has not yet started. |
Waiting for Records | Case is active but waiting on outstanding documents before processing can continue. |
Open | Case is fully active and being worked on. |
Archived | Case has been completed or closed. Retained for reference. |
Rejected | Case has been declined or closed without completion. |
To change a case's status, open the case three-dot menu and select Case details.
Case card information
Each case card in the list shows:
Case name and status badge (e.g. Ready, In Progress).
EVENT date and DOB (date of birth of the claimant).
Team assigned to the case.
Case reference number.
Labels (colour-coded tags).
Created at date, Last material uploaded date, and Examination date (where set).
Searching and filtering
Above the case list, the following controls are available:
Search case — search by case name or reference number.
Client — filter by the client company linked to the case.
Sort by — sort by creation date or other fields.
Sort preferences icon — opens additional sort options.
Case labels
Labels are colour-coded tags applied to cases to help organise and filter them. To manage labels on a case, open the case three-dot menu (⋮) and select Labels. Admin and staff users can create and assign labels.
